Support at Home Program – Domestic Assistance

What is this service?
Support at Home is a service for older and frail aged people and people with moderate, severe or profound disabilities, who have low support needs, live alone and need assistance with their household tasks, such as cleaning, washing and ironing.

Do I need this service?
If you are finding household tasks such as changing bed linen, vacuuming or mopping the floor challenging, the Support at Home Program may be able to help you.

Is there a limit to the assistance available?
Yes, we can only provide up to four hours of assistance per fortnight based upon individual support needs. Being eligible for this service, however, does not mean you will automatically receive it as there is a high level of demand.

Will this service cost me money?
A financial contribution is expected for this service. However, you will not be refused this service if you are unable to pay for it.

This service is available for those who live in the Bankstown local government area.
