What is this service?
Dementia In-Home Support is a service for people with dementia who have low support needs. The service is designed to support people with dementia in maintaining or enhancing their daily living skills.
Do I need this service?
Yes, if you have been diagnosed with dementia and need support to manage your daily living activities.
Is there a limit to the assistance available?
Yes, the assistance is limited to up to six hours of service per fortnight. Being eligible for this service, however, does not mean you will automatically receive it as there is a high level of demand.
Will this service cost me money?
A financial contribution is expected for this service. However, you will not be refused this service if you are unable to pay for it.
